The UCSF Alliance Health Project cordially invites you to Art for AIDS 2020.
Auction Description
For 24 years the UCSF Alliance Health Project has produced its premier fundraiser Art For AIDS. This event attracts art patrons, community leaders, and philanthropists from throughout the Bay Area to support our mission and work. In addition to hosting an exciting night of silent and live auction, prizes, good food, drink, and company, the organization has raised year after year the financial support needed to accomplish its mission to support the mental health and wellness of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) and HIV-affected communities in constructing healthy and meaningful lives. Though we have adapted our annual fundraiser to the circumstances of our time, the spirit behind our mission remains the same.
The Auction
The 2020 Online event is a festive celebration featuring dozens of original works by San Francisco’s most renowned artists. Our selection processes includes inviting artists to submit their best pieces for consideration and evaluation months in advance. Our Jury, which include 16 of San Francisco’s most experience art collects and evaluators, has spent six weeks evaluating, debating, and selecting the best of the best to be included in our auction. We painstakingly review each piece based on merits of mastery of medium, quality, creativity, and originality.
Art For AIDS 2020 will be held over the course of seven days. The Silent Auction is opened on October 10th and closes at the end of Saturday, October 17th alongside our virtual event.
The Live Auction is held a little differently this year. Instead of the traditional auctioneer, our live section will only be available for bidding during the duration of our virtual event.
